The Charity accepts applications from those in Leighton Buzzard or its immediate surrounds or those with a strong connection to the town.
For generations the Almshouses have housed older single people in housing need.

There are no specific criteria linked to age, gender, marital status or employment, applications are invited from all persons or couples in housing need, when there is a vacancy.

Please note that residents are responsible for their own utility charges and council tax, a weekly maintenance contribution is payable, reviewed annually, car parking is not currently available.

Expressions of interest can be made to the Estates Officer.

Prospective residents are asked to consider the suitability of the accommodation for theirs needs. All of our almshouses are older period properties. They should read the Letter of Appointment and Residents Handbook in full and should be aware that the Almshouse community is a strong close-knit community. Expressions of interest are followed by a formal application process together with an interview.

The Almshouses are served by a part time Estates Officer supported by the Clerk.

There are currently no vacancies. PleaseĀ contact us via the clerk for more information.
